‘You are Not and Artist’ (4’04”) A participatory work created in two institutions that play a role in the eduction of the public towards visual art in Jordan; The Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts and The University of Jordan - Student Affairs Building. While they both have different functions, they either play a passive or active role towards defining an aesthetical language and understanding of Fine Arts. These videos will be used to bring forward questions about the development of visual art culture and informal art education in light of these institutions status. It also raises questions of the projected 'role of art in a society', and the part played by the institution in creating a definition for the arts. The pivotal point for the work is the audience and the critic. Both throw light on the use of language towards this field.
